Dave has been exploring, trekking, swimming, and taking groups through Karijini NP since 1981. Working in Newman to the East of Karijini NP and Tom Price to the West he was able to make it his playground, to escape these busy mining towns. Those were the good old days when Karijini NP only had 5000 visitors with one part time ranger, NO steel viewing platforms or staircases and NO handrails. This seems like a very long time ago with NO mention of Insurance and Accreditation for Tour Guides from the relevant authoities. Fast track to 2023 we have 6-7 full time rangers, 300 000 visitors (just prior to COVID), steel structures constructed in the riskiest areas of the NP (making it a lot safer for visitors) and a very thorough Accreditaion Process for Tour Guides in Western Australia. This is Dave’s signature Tour that has become very successful because of his wealth of knowledge in this spectacular area of Western Australia. Dave will take you to some of the remote gorges of the Park, to get away from the crowds so that you can simply sit back and view in awe at this magnificient landscape.
Karijini National Park is situated in the Hamersley Range between the townships of Tom Price and Newman and is approximately 1400 Km’s from Perth along the Great Northern Highway.
