Exhibition Opening: Resilient Communities

This juried exhibition highlights underrepresented communities and fosters dialogue around resilience, identity, and perseverance while supporting emerging and mid-career photographers.

Resilient Communities celebrates artists who document strength, care, and survival in the face of change. Through personal and collective narratives, the selected works remind us that resilience is lived, shared, and built together. Featured artists include: Lila Barth, Beth Amanda Cummins, Jean Marques, Wayne Liu, Adan Huertas, Niamh Alarcon, Nadette Staša and Kristen Bartley

There will also be an open studio (1–3pm) with Helena Goñi, WORTHLESSSTUDIOS Photographer in Residence during March 2026 at the Alice Austen House in Staten Island. During her time in the Airstream studio, Helena will continue work on her ongoing photography project PS Come Visit, which explores traces, absence, domestic spaces, longing, and intimacy. The images are informed by proximity, trust, and attention, reflecting the rhythms of both human relationships and the city.
