A solo exhibition by Colombian-Toronto visual artist La Pupila exploring melancholy, anger, and hope through painting, printmaking, and more
About this Event

Loohoo is proud to present Evil persists, but I persist more. A solo exhibition by La Pupila, a Colombian visual artist based in Tkaronto/Toronto.

Working across painting, murals, tattooing, and printmaking, La Pupila's work explores emotions and memories through symbols, distorted forms, and evocative faces. Her visual language is poetic and tender, creating space for introspection and connection.

This collection was shaped by feelings of melancholy and anger, and also by hope. Inspired by the power and beauty of nature, the works evoke the feeling of being part of the mountain, the flames that pass through it, the water and the collective effort to calm the fire. And of finding, after every catastrophe, a wind of hope.

On view: July 2 to August 2, 2026

📍 Loohoo, 1380 Queen St W, Toronto
