Evies parents Jo and Stu have written the following for you all. 💙❤️
Our girl Evie-Mae was born with Down syndrome in May 2011. She was amazing in so many ways and was simply one of a kind. When she was 19 months old she was diagnosed with cancer, acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) After 6 months of treatment however, she kicked its arse. Evie went to mainstream primary school at Abbey woods academy in berinsfield and loved it there. Just after being 5 and a half years clear of AML, we recieved another horrible shock to be told she now had acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, (ALL) a different cancer at the age of 7. For the last 6 and a bit years she battled hard and bravely, but sadly we lost her on the 8th of August 2025.
She loved life and she never stopped, wether it was sports like basketball, swimming and footbal or board games, cards or crafts. Or going to Iffley Academy high school where she loved especially the roast dinner, and just like in high school musical, she had a locker.
Evie developed a love of cars, we dont know where it came from but she would tell us what type of cars would be passing us on the motorways and duel carrageways. Her favorite car is a Lambo, she had a savings pot at home so she could eventually buy one. She has been is a few cars, some as a passenger and some at car shows. One of her jobs she said she wanted to do was be a mechanic.
She will be sorely missed by us all but her legacy will live on.
