From the moment Celia took on the unlikely task of writing a memoir, that very question poked at her. It made appearances at all hours, in all decibels and velocities. It dared her to jump off the ledge because, “Who do you think you are?” echoed. She soon recognized that she’d been harassed and harangued by those sharp words all her life. They had convinced her to abort so many of her important creative pursuits.

Celia will lead a conversation about her powerful memoir, Telling, and how she managed the obstacles that could have canceled the very project that brought her peace. Being in the seventh decade of her life, she hopes to be an example that it’s never too late for dreams to come true.
