Event on Menstrual Pain // Women’s Week Join us for an evening where we dive into the (bloody) topic of menstrual pain, together with physiotherapist Marie Liberati.
With a physiotherapist’s perspective, Marie has explored what menstrual pain is and how you can help yourself manage it.
During the evening,
We will explore the pathway of pain – from the body to the brain and back again – and examine how this process can be influenced. The aim is to give you a basic understanding of what happens in the body during menstrual pain, and how the body and nervous system interact when pain occurs.
You will be presented with concrete and easy-to-apply tools that can be used in everyday life to support the body’s own pain management. The initiatives are practical, simple, and designed to be taken home and tried out on your own body.
The evening is for anyone who is curious about their body and wants greater insight into menstrual pain – and what you can do yourself. Everyone is welcome, regardless of prior knowledge of the topic.
About Marie Liberati:
Marie graduated as a physiotherapist from UC Syd in the summer of 2025 and developed a special interest in cycle-related pain during her studies. Based on both professional knowledge and curiosity about the body, she has explored how physiotherapy can support people in managing menstrual pain – both in clinical practice and in everyday life.
Her work is rooted in a holistic understanding of pain and a desire to provide more concrete tools that you can try at home yourself.
