A homecoming along the old Norse roadsA thousand years ago York was Jorvik, a great Viking city where Norse and English lives were closely woven together. The choir returns to those northern threads to sing Choral Evensong in York Minster, the largest Gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. As the late-afternoon light falls through the soaring stained glass, the daily sung office of the English church meets the Nordic boys'-choir tradition in one of the most beautiful services in the Christian world.
