About this Event
Join us for a complimentary program given by the Putnam Museum's Assistant Curator, Nora Moriarty, speaking in the Butterworth Center Library on Thursday evening, January 22, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
Moriarty will compare her 2024 tourist journey of Egypt to that of William and Katherine Butterworth's 1923 trip. Through photographs, stories and historical context, this program offers a unique look at how travel and Egypt have changed across a century.
Refreshments are served in the dining room following the presentation.
This program is free and open to the public. Evenings at Butterworth is a curated series of music and lectures celebrating the arts, history and cultural life, made possible by the William Butterworth Foundation and the generous community of givers who sustain our work.
