Presenter: Peter Pagliaro, MBA, Audit Manager, Local Government and School Accountability Division, Office of the NYS Comptroller
Location: Donovan Hall 1242
Description: Peter Pagliaro will discuss actual cases of fraud and other offenses investigated by the Office of the NYS Comptroller. He will talk about the most pressing challenges he has faced addressing ethical issues during audits and how he resolved those challenges. More generally, he will discuss best practices for encouraging ethical behavior in organizations, such as businesses, government agencies, and universities. Peter is an Audit Manager in the Local Government and School Accountability Division of the Office of the NYS Comptroller and is also an alumnus of SUNY Poly’s College of Business. This presentation is part of the Ethics at SUNY Poly Lecture Series hosted by the Center for Business and Applied Ethics.
