About Geshe Tenzin Legtsok: Guided by his teachers, including His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and Khensur Lama Lhundrup, Geshe-la has devoted decades to study and practice in the Tibetan Gelug tradition. Born in Virginia in 1971, he obtained a B.A. from Kenyon University in 1995. Asking himself, “What makes for the most happy and meaningful life?” compelled him to major in philosophy during college and led him to study Tibetan Buddhism. Geshe-la was ordained by His Holiness in 2021. He trained first at Kopan and then at Sera Jey Monastery in India. He received his Geshe degree in 2023 and in 2025 completed his Tantric Degree at Gyumed Tantric College. He has a unique ability to bridge cultures and convey profound Buddhist teachings. His teaching emphasizes understanding and transforming the mind through practice. Whether you are a long-time practitioner or just beginning to explore the Dharma, this is an opportunity to learn from a teacher whose depth of knowledge is matched by his warmth, humility, and insight.
Advanced registration is required.
We offer all Dharma teachings and center events on a “dana” basis. This means we’re grateful for your generosity but there is no required cost to attend and no one is turned away for lack of funds. Suggested donation amounts are provided, and we welcome you to offer what you can to help us sustain our programming and make the dharma and events like this possible. And of course, ordained sangha (ordained nuns and monks) are always welcome free of charge.
If you're not donating at this time but would like to attend, please email [email protected].
