This year has seen huge leaps in the development of AI and technology, with governments investing millions of pounds in to big tech companies under the guise of making our lives easier and propel us into the future.

Meanwhile, most of us are feeling the threat to our privacy, our jobs and the strain this will put our environment under for land and water resources.

Last year, with a tech oligarchy standing next to Trump for his second term, our conference theme responded by looking at “How can we move beyond corporate power?”

One year on from then and consumers are now enthusiastically looking for tech alternatives and resistance is growing.

Long trusted tools produced by google are being abandoned by people looking for alternatives in the millions.

And almost half of the data centres planned in the US are facing delays or cancellation because of infrastructure, power grid and supply chain problems.

Come and join us at our annual conference in London, where we’ll be taking an in-depth look at the ethical alternatives to big tech and AI.

Building on our research published in issue 221 of Ethical Consumer magazine, we'll be asking how we can look after ourselves, come together to resist tech corporate power, and put people and planet at the top of the agenda.

On Friday, 23rd October, we will be at the fantastic Rich Mix for another year of our annual conference.
