About this Event
Eternal December presents Anatomy of Breath, Pt. 1, a performance by MUON (Miles Lukoszevieze and Travis Yu) exploring a new correlation between movement and sound that evidences a physicality to breath. Featuring woodwind instruments, voice, and electronics, they unearth sonic textures beyond traditional music-making and present a new intersection of performance under a dramaturgic approach.

MUON emerged in 2023 as a duo project of sound artists and musicians Miles Lukoszevieze and Travis Yu, who met during their studies at the London College of Communication. They bonded over their shared passion for all things ambiguous and the in-between. Hugely improvisational, the project explores interconnected avenues of electroacoustic work, noise, and experimental music. Miles’ emotive and dichotomic soundscapes, in conjunction with Travis’ at times visceral, at times ethereal voice, create a rich and hauntingly reverberant atmosphere. As two distinct emerging artists, they challenge, assimilate, and appropriate the norms of sound making across disciplines and genres, to construct a new set of vocabularies for sonic gesturing through music performances.

Miles Lukoszevieze is a sound artist, composer and improviser residing in London. His work spans the rich tapestries of noise, electroacoustic, experimental rock and improvisation, realised through various monikers including the visceral noise-rock band Red Mar (est.2018) and post-industrial outfit Vostok (est.2020), as well as collaborative projects with artists such as Graeme Smith, That Travis, Henry Cyer, Harry Fisher, Mai Nguyen-Tri and more. His solo work realises a distinct intimacy of fragmented narratives and emotive dichotomies, where disparate threads weave a soundscape of timbral ambiguity, noise, colour, and abstraction.
Travis is a sound artist and a singer-songwriter from Hong Kong. Their work intersects between sound, theatre and fine arts. Primarily working with themes like intimacy, history, and time, they use their voice as an investigative tool towards finding a personal anthropology. They have released multiple albums under the label Graceful Gymnastics, from experimental sound works to pop, and have performed and shared work at places such as the Roundhouse, Sadler’s Wells, Southbank Centre, Windmill Brixton, The Old Church Stoke Newington, and Iklectik.
