Etc Art Gallery March exhibit Welcomes Scott McKinley -Contemporary Artist
On Thursday evening, March 6, the Etc Gallery will continue their popular series of showcasing artwork from local artist. This event will feature Scott McKinley from Palmetto Bay.
Scott McKinley is an emerging contemporary artist with work in private, corporate and university art collections across the U.S. McKinley’s studio is in Palmetto Bay, Florida, where he draws, paints and makes small sculptures which, although abstracted, tell stories about our life in the subtropics. The experience of South Florida’s light and color, and an experimental approach to his materials are central to McKinley’s work which collectors have praised as both “thought provoking” and “energized by joyful color.” The exhibit will debut “Close Reach,” a new group of works featuring simplified shapes of sailboats, ocean views and seaside architecture.
