Español for Advanced Beginners with Cecilia GuajardoMondays, March 30, April 6, 13, 20: 6-8 pm
This Spanish class will focus on building basic sentences in present tense to start communicating in simple situations. The focus will be on VERBS. Students will learn the conjugation of regular verbs (endings -ar, -er, -ir) in the present tense and a few of the most used irregular verbs (tener, hacer, ir). There will be opportunities for written and oral practice in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The pre-requisite to this class is basic knowledge of the Spanish language (letters & sounds, articles, pronouns, possessive, family members, colors, numbers, months, days of the week, verbs SER & ESTAR); it is not suitable for the true beginner. Participants should bring a note pad, pocket folder and pen/pencil.

Meet your instructor: Cecilia Guajardo was born and raised in Monterrey, México. She has a B.A. in Marketing and Communications from Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has lived in Wisconsin since 2010. She loves to share her passion for the Spanish language, and embraces her roots, culture and traditions. Cecilia has been a Spanish Instructor for 15 years, since she relocated to the United States. She works for Moraine Park Technical College as Adjunct Faculty and for a local agency as a Medical and Community Interpreter. She’s also an active volunteer in our community.
