The Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders has partnered with the City of Birmingham, the Jefferson County Department of Health Watershed Protection Program, the City of Bessemer, and Jefferson County Commission in cooperation with Storm Water Management Authority, Inc. to bring you the Erosion & Sediment Control Certification Workshop for Single Family Homebuilders.
In this workshop you will learn:
Potential changes with ADEM and how they will affect you
Details of the MS4 Program
Proper BMP installation & maintenance
Local permit requirements & enforcement
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will receive a certification valid for two (2) years. This certification may be used in lieu of the surety requirement for a single-family residence, as outlined in Article 13 of the Jefferson County Subdivision and Construction Regulations and the applicable regulations of the City of Bessemer.
Participation in this training does not waive surety requirements for the City of Birmingham. For SWMA member municipalities, completion of this course may reduce the required bond or deposit for a single-family residence. Participants should verify the applicable reduction with the appropriate municipality.
Please note: Certifications are issued to the individual attendee and are not transferable to any company or organization.
