Erickson Community Gathering Vancouver: Trick or Transform
About this Event
🎃 As Halloween approaches, we’re bringing the Erickson community together in Vancouver for an evening of curiosity, connection, and playful exploration.
We all have our own “Gremlins”—those familiar patterns, roles, and inner voices that can show up when something feels uncertain, uncomfortable, or a little scary. Maybe it’s the perfectionist who wants to get everything right, the peacekeeper who avoids conflict, or the voice that says, “I’m just not ready yet.”
Often, these patterns began with a positive intention: to keep us safe, connected, prepared, or in control. But sometimes, a strategy that once served us starts to run the show.
Join Erickson Facilitator and Mentor MCC, and Erickson+ Community Manager Cory Martin for a playful, experiential evening exploring what can happen when we listen beneath these familiar labels and get curious about the feelings, fears, and intentions underneath.
Through facilitated exploration, reflection, and conversation, we’ll look at how these patterns show up in everyday life, relationships, leadership, learning, and coaching conversations—and what becomes possible when we relate to them differently.
What to Expect
- Explore the positive intentions that can sit underneath familiar patterns
- Notice when a once-helpful strategy may no longer be serving you
- Get curious about the difference between intention and impact
- Experiment with new ways of responding to fear, resistance, and uncertainty
- Connect with others in a warm, reflective, and engaging community setting
You’re welcome to bring a “Gremlin” of your own, a real-life situation you’ve been thinking about, or simply your curiosity.
You may discover that our Gremlins aren’t necessarily the villains of the story. Sometimes, they’re simply characters who have been wearing the same costume for a very long time.
