Equinox of Hope Gathering

Join us for Equinox of Hope on Sunday, September 22, at The Humbled Body in Los Angeles—a unique evening of mindfulness and community building in support of Pr*son Yoga and Meditation. This equinox-inspired mixer offers a chance to unwind and connect as we support a meaningful cause.

The evening will feature a calming meditation session, a relaxing sound bath, and a fun "yoga instructor speed dating" activity to encourage networking among yoga professionals. Enjoy mingling with light bites and beverages, all while supporting an inspiring initiative. Celebrate the Equinox and nurture hope through shared practice, connection, and reflection.

Why on the Equinox?

For many behind bars, yoga and meditation are more than just ways to pass the time—they’re lifelines. Incarcerated individuals often receive as little as 1 hour of sunlight per day, with some spending up to 23 hours in their cells. These practices offer a chance to find peace, healing, and a connection to their inner selves.

As we approach the darker winter days, many of us will experience less sunlight—just a glimpse of what those incarcerated endure year-round. But while the days grow shorter, our collective action can bring light into the lives of those who need it most. Together, we can make this equinox a beacon of hope, illuminating the path to healing and transformation for those who are too often forgotten.
