Join us for an exciting EquineEd event on February 7th featuring Bob Coleman PhD PAS!This discussion will examine how horse management practices vary in Kentucky and other regions, with a focus on decisions such as keeping horses outdoors full time versus stabling them for part of the day. Attendees will also consider how available facilities influence daily management choices and learn how to evaluate options that best support both their horses’ needs and their own management goals.
Dr. Coleman has served as the Extension Horse specialist at the University of Kentucky since 1998. During this time, he has looked at different management practices when horses are on pasture. In addition to his extension activities, he teaches a course in Equine Facility design and management along with a course on tools and tack used in the industry. Working with horse owners across the commonwealth has provide him with opportunities to look at how different practices work in different situations.
The EquineEd event will take place in the Kentucky Horse Park Visitor Center on Saturday, February 7th, at 12:30 pm. As always, the lectures are FREE and open to the public.
