Equine Forages, Feeds, and Supplements

Are you wondering how you can improve your knowledge of equine nutrition? If so, make sure to join us for a 3-week equine nutrition program! Each date will be over a different topic related to nutrition. Speakers will include CUCES Livestock and Forages Extension Agent, Katie Silver and University of Georgia Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent, Robyn Stewart.
- August 11 – Pastures & Grazing Management. Learn strategies to improve soil health, increase forage quality, and extend the grazing season.
- August 18 – Hay & Forage Alternatives. Learn how to evaluate hay quality and stretch your supply further.
- August 25 – Feeds & Supplements. Learn key concepts regarding feeds and supplements to help you choose what’s best for your horses’ health.
Seating is limited to 20 people per class. If you choose to attend all three sessions, please pre-register for all three sessions.
