About this Event

Equally Yoked seeks to create spaces for practicing Christians who are single in southeast Michigan to meet and connect in-person as well as foster relationships in accordance with 2 Corinthians 4:16.

Speed dating entails brief back-to-back conversations with different people. After the event, participants will mark with whom they wish to match. Organizers will email participants names and contact information when two people both agree to match. Participants do not have to be from a particular denomination or church, but should be involved in a church.

Event includes:

Up to 14 six-minute conversations
Same-day match results
Introductory activity with the chance to win a TBD gift card
Afterparty running at Au Laite Cafe with purchasable beverages
Event earnings support the mission of Mount Hope Congregational Church

Participants will be broken into two groups for ages 21-35 and 30-45. If you fit in the overlapping ages, you can choose which group you'd prefer to participate in. You cannot do both, as the cohorts will be running at the same time.

About Mount Hope Congregational Church

At Mount Hope, we love God, love one another, and welcome all people into fellowship. Our purpose is to worship Jesus, the Christ, and make disciples of all who will follow Him. Established in 1889 in downtown Detroit, we now meet in Livonia for Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. The church is an active partner with the local D.O. it for Denny nonprofit, The Share Kindness Project, Livonia Cares and is highly active with other community outreach events.
