Adults experiencing memory loss and their caregivers are invited to the library for a 90-minute Memory Cafe.
There is no charge to attend!
Activities will include:
- Welcome song, announcements, and introductions
- Making/Eating snacks & drinking coffee, tea, and water
- Sharing favorite activities and memories.
- Bonus Activity - a short story, if time permits.
- Closing song, reminders, and collection of nametags.
What is a Memory Cafe?
- Gives adults experiencing memory loss the opportunity to regularly socialize with others
- Participants can drop-in for entire time or come/go as needed
- Program is structured to avoid social stigma that often surrounds memory loss
- Everyone is welcome no matter where they are in their journey
- Safe environment with dementia awareness trained library staff
