About this Event

Trauma can leave a chemical mark on a person's genes, which can then be passed down to future generations. The healing and coping mechanisms pursued in one generation can also impact future generations. This is the work of epigenetics.

When considered through the faith lens, one wonders what to do with scriptures like “I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me." (Exodus 20:5)

This three-hour presentation is designed to educate, offer discussion, and resource those working in both fields of mental health and ministry.
