About this Event
The workshop will explore the problem of environmental racism, analyzing it within the scope of pressing environmental and climate change issues.
The workshop brings cases of environmental racism closer to home by providing local examples and to give participants the tools to identify environmental injustices in their own homes, communities, and workplaces.
What You’ll Gain

- Build a shared understanding of environmental racism and its root causes
- Explore local and Canadian examples connected to climate and environmental policy
- Gain practical tools to identify environmental injustices in homes, communities, and workplaces

Facilitators
The workshop will be facilitated by Denise Hampden and Christopher Wilson (CBTU), who bring experience in environmental justice education, community organizing, and advocacy.
Host
Hosted by Resistance & Resilience Guelph, a community network focused on strengthening local capacity, people-centred responses, and collective care in times of social, economic, and environmental strain caused by U.S. tariffs and rising fascism.
