About this Event
We are hosting a focused Sunamp training session in our live fire lab at Eden Energy Equipment with Tom Sottile from Sunamp.
This 1.5 hour session is hands-on and technical, covering system design, installation, and real-world performance of Sunamp heat batteries. Training in a live lab allows us to work through piping layouts, safety components, controls, and commissioning exactly as they are applied in the field.
Sunamp heat batteries use phase change materials to store latent heat at a fixed temperature, delivering high energy density in a compact form factor with extremely low standby losses. Unlike tanks or heat pump water heaters, there are no compressors, fans, or combustion components, which simplifies installation and improves long-term reliability.
From a system perspective, Sunamp provides stable hot water delivery while drawing low, predictable electrical power. This makes it well suited for electrified buildings, constrained electrical services, and heat pump integrated systems where peak demand matters.
Thermal storage is becoming a core design tool, not an accessory. This training is about understanding how to apply it correctly.
