ANNA JAMES is the acclaimed author of the Pages and Co. series. This is the first book in the Chronicles of Whetherwhy series.@acaseforbooks
AISLING FOWLER wishes that she had grown up in a magical, mountainous kingdom, but was actually raised in Surrey on a diet of books and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After earning a BSc in Biology and working as a support worker and then a nurse, the idea for Fireborn came to her as she moved back and forth between London and the US. When she is not reading or writing, Aisling loves cooking and plotting adventures (for herself as well as her fictional characters).
PARI THOMSON’s debut novel, Greenwild: The World Behind the Door, was published to critical acclaim in 2023. It was named Blackwell’s Children’s Book of the Year 2023, and won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2024. Half Persian, half English, Pari studied at Oxford University and now works as Editorial Director for picture books at a children’s publisher. She lives near the river in London, not far from Kew Gardens. The second book in the Greenwild series, Greenwild: The City Beyond the Sea, was published in May 2024.
TAMZIN MERCHANT has been an actor since the age of seventeen. Her acting work has taken her around the world and on a journey through time. She has been a Tudor, a Victorian, a Jacobean, and has survived the Blitz and succumbed to pneumonia in Edwardian times. She’s been an alien, a witch, a doomed queen, a feisty Scottish warrior and a rebellious high-society runaway. Tamzin is the bestselling author of The Hatmakers, The Mapmakers and The Troublemakers.
