We are delighted to invite you to our next Thought Leadership event with two-time title holder of Wales's Strongest Man, Simon Johnston. Ian Rothwell, MD of RW Learning, will be hosting this practical and engaging session.
Learn how to enhance resilience and performance through practical skills that put our brain into an 'optimised' mode. Drawing from grounded and contemporary thinking within the field of applied neuroscience, the session will cover:
- How to strengthen your vision and goals
- How to push forwards ‘safely’ through adversity
- Maintaining perspective and harnessing positive stress
- Discipline and grit - how to keep going when the going gets tough
- Bouncing back but also taking the learning
- Being brave in uncertainty
- How to deal with brain fog

Simon brings a wealth of experience in aligning physical strength to mental strength to optimise performance and will draw on real life experiences of how the application of neuroscience has supported his journey of determination and resilience in the elite sport of Strongman.
Ian Rothwell
As a seasoned speaker, facilitator and coach, having worked in both the US and UK, Ian provides clients with greater focus and increased challenge, coupled with a huge appetite to support businesses to enhance performance. Specialising in applied neuroscience and workplace resilience, he brings insights and practical solutions to his clients. He has an established track record for creating significant business impact through applying Neuroscience within a business setting.
A Q&A will follow, giving attendees an opportunity to gain further insights into how these tools can be adapted for their own field of work.
