👣 Hike Description
Spend a refreshing day following the England Coast Path as we stroll from Lancing to Small Harbour town of Littlehampton, enjoying the fresh sea air and ever-changing views of England's south coast.
This easy-paced walk follows the wide coastal path westwards with uninterrupted views across the English Channel. Early in the walk, there's the option to make a short detour into Widewater Lagoon Nature Reserve, a peaceful haven where seabirds and wading birds are often spotted.
Continuing along the coast, we arrive in the lively seaside resort town of Worthing. We'll pass the town's iconic Worthing Pier, offering wonderful views along the coastline and a glimpse of classic Victorian seaside charm.
Beyond Worthing, we pass beaches, coastal homes and open views across the sea. The final miles lead us into the small harbour town Littlehampton, where the River Arun meets the English Channel. Where we can unwind with an ice cream, enjoy a drink in one of the waterfront cafés or simply relax on the promenade before catching the train back to London.
