End of Season Quarry & Lake Walk | Dinorwig, Snowdonia
Advertisement
Join a guided walk through Dinorwig quarry before winter properly sets in, with plenty of local mythology and history shared along the way in one of North Wales's most atmospheric landscapes.
The route starts at Dinorwig quarry and loops down into Llanberis before climbing back up, taking in the dramatic scars of the old slate workings alongside genuine stories of the area's past. This is very much a walk for anyone curious about the history beneath their feet as much as the walking itself.
This is a moderate walk suited to those comfortable on varied terrain across a half day out.
Led by Bryn
Meeting point: Dinorwig
Date: Saturday 28 November
Duration: 3 to 4 hours
Distance: 9km with 310m of elevation gain
Bring: Boots, waterproof coat and trousers, a warm layer, hat and gloves, at least 1 litre of water, and lunch
