Come spend the afternoon with us and learn the art of royal icing. This class is for beginners, no icing experience is required, you’ll learn everything you need to know from the icing consistency to how to bake the perfect biscuit base to decorating. You'll leave feeling confident and excited about your new royal icing skills.
We will be icing the following biscuits, princess dress, frog, crown, tower (or castle), wand, hearts & swan.
What you'll learn in this class
- How to get the correct icing consistency
- I demonstrate how to make and mix up the various royal icing consistencies for icing biscuits.
- I explain how to bake the perfect biscuit base, all my tips and tricks
- Flooding & piping
- Drying your icing and storing your biscuits for the best shelf life
- What colours I like to use, how to prevent bleeding, discolouring etc
- Painting with gold lustre
- What are the best tools and supplies to use
