There’s now an Empty Chairs UK event in Knaresborough every other Thursday.

I’m hosting events for Empty Chairs UK (https://emptychairs.org.uk/) at the Mitre on Station Road from 7-8:30pm in Knaresborough on Thursday evenings.
It’s a relaxed space for anyone who wants to come. Lonely, new to town, feel awkward going out on your own? Just want an hour in someone else’s company?
Just look for the host, who will wear an orange hoodie, and sit down on an empty chair at their table.
It’s free and there’s no pressure to stay, speak too much if you don’t want to, or even to buy a drink. But if you want to pop in, for some part or all of the time, everyone is welcome.
These events will run on alternate (2nd and 4th) Thursdays of each month for the next few months to see if it’s a good way for people to get out of the house and meet new people in the town.
