Thoughtful reading, shared conversation
Book Club at Heal is a relaxed, welcoming evening centred around reading, reflection and conversation. Each month we gather to discuss a selected book — often one that has been challenged or banned — using it as a starting point for wider discussion, curiosity and connection.
The focus is on thoughtful exchange rather than debate. Expect a calm, reflective atmosphere where ideas can be explored at an unhurried pace, and where listening is just as valued as speaking.
Come on your own or with friends. Whether you’ve finished the book cover to cover or dipped in where you can, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
What to expect
- Monthly book discussions in a relaxed, considered setting
- Space for reflection, conversation and shared perspectives
- A calm, social atmosphere
- Tea, coffee and wine available
There’s no pressure to speak — you’re welcome to listen, contribute, or simply enjoy being part of the room.
Part of Community Club
Book Club is part of Heal’s Community Club programme: a series of low-key gatherings designed to create space for connection, creativity and thoughtful conversation in a calm environment.
