About this Event
This project is designed by An Inclusive Future to help men of all ages and backgrounds build confidence, improve mental health and raise aspirations. EmpowerMENt is male led and will consist of an 8 week programme consisting of 3 hour weekly sessions starting on Thursday 24th October 2024 at Leyland Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, PR25 1DH.
This project aims to:
- Increase confidence
- Build skills which enable you to support and encourage others, give positive feedback and problem solve
- Improve self-worth
- Explore aspirations, interests and passions linking them to possible employment and training opportunities
- Reduce anxiety
- Create a self-motivated learning circle which harnesses collective experiences and goals of participants.
You will have an opportunity to meet the An Inclusive Future Team, including the course facilitator, on Thursday 17th October. You'll be able to find out more about the programme and what to expect whilst meeting others who have signed up too.
Should you choose to sign up for EmpowerMENt please expect a welcome call from one of our female staff W/C 30th September 2024 so as to answer any questions you may have and ensure you get the most from this set of workshops. At An Inclusive Future CIC, we’re more than just a small not-for-profit organisation. We’re a group of passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive impact within local communities. Our directors bring with them extensive professional experience, gained through various roles, allowing us to effectively engage with communities facing diverse challenges and barriers to social inclusion.
With our collective experience, we’ve worked with a wide array of community groups, centres, BAME communities, and anchor organisations. We’ve supported individuals facing substance dependency, learning difficulties, chronic health issues, challenges with mental well-being, and those not in education, employment, or training (NEET), among others.
Driven by our directors’ values, we aim to tackle inequalities within communities and enhance community well-being through innovative projects. We strive to foster cross-sector partnerships tailored to specific needs, support existing community development strategies, promote equality, and celebrate diversity.
