Empanada Masterclass with Ana Ortiz

Join us for a flavour‑filled evening with Ana Ortiz, chef and co‑founder of Fire Made, the Somerset-based fire‑cookery company she runs with her husband, Tom Bray. Together they design and produce fire‑cooking equipment for chefs, restaurants and home cooks around the world, as well as hosting asado training and immersive experience days.​

Growing up on the Galápagos Islands, Ana's love of cooking began in her grandfather’s fire kitchen, where the family prepared traditional feasts together. Early memories of helping stuff morcillas, fishing with her uncle and watching her father perfect the Argentinian asado ritual shaped her lifelong passion for food, fire and bringing people together.​

In this hands‑on masterclass, Ana will guide guests through making both sweet and savoury empanadas entirely from scratch — from mixing dough and crafting traditional shapes to preparing fillings inspired by her Ecuadorian upbringing. ​

A delicious and creative evening culminating in a dinner, where guests will be able to taste what they've made.
