A Fundraiser occasion as the first POP UP Event by The Agape Embrace.

This is not your average night out. Emotions in Motion is a community gathering built around one simple truth: sometimes you need to feel it, name it, make something out of it, and then let it go — out loud, in a room full of people doing the same thing.

Here is how the evening unfolds. We start at the table. Food is shared, community is made, and the night begins the way all good things do — with people coming together before anything is asked of them. Then we create. You will make two pieces of art — one on paper, one on a glass plate. The paper piece holds what has been good. The plate holds what has been heavy. What you want to release. What has kept you stuck. You will take your time with both because both deserve it. Then we break. Your plate — and everything you put on it — gets broken. On purpose. With intention. The physical act of releasing what you no longer need to carry.

Then we move. The movement menu takes center stage where you and dancers who have pre consented to being watched, asked questions, and demo dance modalities dance out all the residual emotions keeping you stuck. — Encompassing the full range of what it means to be human, held by community and music and the specific freedom that comes from a room full of people who have all just put something down and perhaps need new ways to do that. We will showcase many modalities such as modern dance, tribal belly dance, cabaret, breakdance, etc. As well as a trauma/sensory inclusive space away from the crowds to take a breather and take part in yoga if you so choose.

The paper art piece goes home with you. The good parts. The gratitude. The things worth keeping. Because that is the point — you do not leave empty. You leave lighter and with something in your hands that reminds you what is still good.

access to the scream room and one turn in the Rage Cave for whatever still needs to come out off the dance floor.
