Emotional Surfing: Learning to ride the waves of your emotions

Imagine yourself taking each of these actions:

Asking for a raise. Asking someone on a date. Launching a new business. Giving a toast at a wedding. Writing a short story. Applying for a job. Auditioning for a play. Performing at an open mic.

If you’re like most people, imagining some of these evokes a sense of fear. There’s a visceral constriction somewhere in your body. A wave of emotion.

You stop yourself from taking certain actions because, consciously or unconsciously, you don’t want to feel the emotional wave that might arise in the process.

“I don’t want to be rejected again”

“I can’t survive another heartbreak”

“What will they think of me?”

What might become possible for you if these big emotions no longer seemed too much to bear?

What if you even looked forward to them?

Who would you be if you experienced every emotion as a work of art?

Emotional Surfing

Emotional Surfing is a practice of learning to enjoy riding the waves of your emotions. Instead of navigating by running away from situations that bring up challenging emotions, you become free to move towards what brings you alive, guided by your intuition, passion, and joy.

In this workshop, you’ll learn to notice your emotional waves and surf them with acceptance, curiosity and compassion.

You'll learn tools you can use in your own life, and you'll get personalized guidance so you're equipped to use them effectively.

You may have heard advice like "feel your feelings" or "be with your emotions" before but found it hard to know if you're "doing it right". Come get some guidance around the nuances!
