Emotional Regulation: Practical Skills and Interventions for Social Workers and Behavioral Health Professionals
This interactive workshop provides behavioral health professionals with practical, evidence-based strategies to assess emotional regulation difficulties and teach clients skills to effectively identify, understand, express, and manage emotions. Participants will explore interventions drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care. Through case studies, experiential activities, role plays, and hands-on exercises, attendees will leave with tools that can be immediately integrated into individual, family, group, and community-based practice settings.
