Emmanuel Centre and Elmwood Breathwork and Movement After School Club

This wonderful afterschool club with a strong focus on wellbeing is suitable for children aged 5 and upwards. Children can be picked up straight from school and can be collected anytime after 4:30 from the Emmanuel Centre Community Room Clive Road. This accessible practice focuses on how we can connect to the breath as a powerful tool for moving with joy, improving concentration for learning, emotional regulation, sleeping well, feeling confident and being present.The children will be treated to a beautiful session of Breathwork and Movment and learn how to use their breath to help them feel confident and calm. Overtime they can use this practice at home to help them with sleep and wellbeing. The club is a great way to make friends, have fun and socialise. Children will learn about how their bodies work in a fun and practical way and understand how to maintain good health and wellbeing. Children can bring their own snacks. Each week we will also make a smoothy out of an assortment of fresh fruit chosen by the children.

Once you have signed up for either a introductory discounted block booking or a single session, you will be sent a letter with more details and a safeguarding, medical form. If you would like your child to be picked up from Elmwood Primary School, please ensure you have confirmation of permission. Parents and carers also have the option to bring their child/children directly to the Emmanuel Centre for 3:45.

Lesley Collinson has been a leader and teacher for over 24 years, leading departments to outstanding and developing the Breathwork and Movement programme, which has reached over 5000 children. She teachers family yoga at the King's Gallery Buckingham Palace as well as community groups in the local area. She is dedicated to continous improvement in education and supporting children and their families wellbeing.
