Embodied Pilates: A Beginner-Friendly Mat Pilates Class
About this Event
Reconnect with your body through mindful movement in this welcoming, beginner-friendly mat Pilates class with Lucille Dyer.
Embodied Pilates introduces the foundations of classical Pilates through intentional, controlled movements designed to support core strength, mobility, posture, balance and whole-body awareness.
This is a mat-based Pilates class performed on the floor using your body weight for resistance. There are no reformers or large pieces of Pilates equipment used during this class.
Lucille will guide you through a thoughtfully paced sequence that brings attention to breathing, alignment and the connection between your mind and body. Movements can be adapted for different experience levels, making this a supportive introduction for anyone curious about Pilates while still offering a meaningful practice for those with previous experience.
During the class, you can expect to:
• Strengthen and engage your core
• Improve mobility, balance and coordination
• Explore the foundations of classical mat Pilates
• Develop greater awareness of posture and alignment
• Leave feeling stronger, more connected and revitalized
No previous Pilates experience is needed.
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. No specialized Pilates equipment is required.
