Whether you're a runner, a cyclist, involved in team sports, or just a gym rat, this workshop will provide tools to boost performance and prevent injuries.
Workshop Breakdown:
Hour 1: Vinyasa Flow for Core Strength & Bodyweight Conditioning
Kick off the workshop with an invigorating 60-minute Vinyasa flow, designed to build core strength and overall body conditioning. Expect to engage your core, build upper body stability, and improve balance as you flow to great music all while enhancing body control and reducing the risk of injury.
45-Minute Yin Practice for Flexibility & Recovery
Following the flow, wind down with a 45-minute Yin yoga session, focusing on deep stretches to release tension and increase flexibility in key areas athletes often need, such as hips, hamstrings, and shoulders. Poses are held for longer durations (2-5 min.) to target deep connective tissues, promoting recovery and improving range of motion.
15-Minute Meditation and Savasana: Goal-Setting & Mental Focus
Finish the workshop with a guided meditation centered on goal-setting. This meditation will help you harness your inner drive, align your intentions, and set actionable goals, both in your sport and beyond.
This workshop is a perfect blend of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness, offering you physical and mental tools to elevate your athletic performance and achieve your personal best. Suitable for all levels, grab your teammates or training partner and join Brooke to see how yoga can unlock your potential and elevate your game.
Brooke is a 500 CYT who has been practicing yoga for 25 years and teaching yoga for 5 years. She was a competitive dancer and a member of the University of Colorado Varsity Dance Team. She is now an avid skier and a sometimes runner, swimmer, mountain biker and general fitness enthusiast. In athletics and in life, Brooke believes that balance is essential, so she strives to work hard, play a lot, and rest when she wants to.
