The Overpass: A Community Design Session #2

Join us for Workshop #2 as we continue reimagining The Overpass—building directly from the ideas shared in Session #1. Based on your input, landscape architects at Edible Ecology have developed an initial concept design. Now it’s time for you to review it, react to it, and help shape what comes next.

What to Expect

Residents will rotate through four interactive stations designed to turn your ideas into real design decisions:

• 🎨 Mural Co-Creation – Share ideas, themes, and sketches to help design a community mural for the overpass
• 🔒 Safety Mapping – Use color-coded dots to show where you feel safe, unsafe, or unsure—and tell us why
• 🌿 GSI, Landscaping & Pathways – Weigh in on rain gardens, plant types, and how pathways should function
• 🚶🏾‍♀️ Moving Through the Space – Help decide how people should move through the area and what amenities (like seating) are needed

After visiting each station, we’ll come together to share key takeaways. Your input will directly inform the next version of the design and the final mural concept.
