America’s Birthday!
July 4 is the day most people consider to be America’s birthday. This year, the country turns 250, and we will start the celebrations early by exploring how the United States was created, searching for patriotic symbols in the museum, and making a patriotic craft to take home.
“Elementary Explorers” is an interactive series of children’s programming that brings fun facts and activities out of the past!
The series, targeted at ages 5-9, will be held monthly. Each month will feature a different activity and craft inspired by local history.
A parent or guardian must accompany their child.
This program is FREE thanks to a Power of Change grant from the Rappahannock Electric Cooperative.
THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO 15 CHILDREN. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
Participants may be photographed for use in museum promotional and marketing material.
