About this Event
This half day workshop combines multiple topics, related to fire and electrical hazards. Participants will receive an overview of basic electrical safety, designed for individuals who do not have formal electrical training, though as a part of their work, may potentially be exposed to electrical hazards. This is an awareness level course for “unqualified persons” as defined by OSHA. The course also provides an overview of fire safety, fire extinguisher use (PASS method), and Hot Work Permits, as well as discussing workplace safety, and other best practices associated with torch use or other activities which could ignite surroundings.

Who Should Attend: Employees who work around fire or electrical hazards, or conduct Hot Work (riveting, welding, flame cutting, or other fire or spark-producing operation) and/or any supervisor responsible for such employees.
Available to Members of the Trust's Property/Liability or Workers' Compensation Programs
Registration Information:
- Space is limited with a limit of 4 employees per Member.
- Deadline for registration is Friday, April 4, 2025
- There is a $50 “NO SHOW” fee for anyone who registers but then fails to attend the training.
