ElderPride Candle Making and Lunch

Join us to make candles, socialize, and enjoy a fall lunch!
Date: Sunday, October 25, 2026
Location: 112 Johnston Avenue (Fredericton Seniors Centre)
Time: 1:00PM - 3:30PM Atlantic
We will be making both poured candles in tins and moulded candles with a variety of shapes available (including fall and Halloween themes)! Various colours, scents, and accessories will be available for you to experiment with.
All required materials will be provided, along with a light lunch. Everything you make is yours to take home.
Please note that we will be using soy wax for this workshop - this is a vegan wax. We will use essential oils in small quantities during this workshop.
Elderpride is an intergenerational 2SLGBTQI+ program with a focus on seniors! This event is open to 2SLGBTQI+ folx age 18+ who wish to connect across generations!
Registration may be limited; participants over 40 years of age will be prioritized.
2SLGBTQI+ individuals over 40 may attend without registering (though it is very helpful if you choose "Going" on Facebook so we can plan material and food numbers)!
Registration is required for individuals under 40 years of age. RSVP with the following information by emailing Amelia at contact[at]elderpride.com a minimum of 72 hours before the event.

Accessibility:
- There will be ASL interpretation
- The space is wheelchair accessible and is on the main floor
- There are two gender neutral restrooms on site (one accessible)
- There is ample parking directly outside the space
- This is a seated event
- The entrance door automatically locks (new safety feature), so please ring the doorbell to have us let you in
- This is a dry (alcohol-free) event
- Should transportation be a barrier, don't hesitate to contact us.
