About this Event
A visceral portrait of the artist as a young provocateur
Step into the fevered world of Egon Schiele, in this intimate new play.
But his journey from defiant prodigy to doomed genius is marked by scandal, obsession, and an uncompromising vision that would change art forever. EGON reveals the man behind the provocative canvases: his forbidden loves, his clashes with society, and the price he paid for his art during Vienna's legendary Secession movement.
This new production follows a succesful presentation at Bedford Studio by Fourplaysand, featuring a solo performance by playwright Miles Blue. This intimate basement venue creates an up-close theatrical experience that will resonate with anyone drawn to biographical drama, art history, early 20th-century Vienna, and bold new plays.
