Join us as each month as we dive into the world of nature journaling with these in-person, facilitated sessions. Each month has a different theme and focus. Museum specimens will be on display to sketch from. Weather permitting, we will include a nature walk on our campus nature trail. Dress for the weather.
The museum will also be open following the session for all to explore.
All ages are welcome. Recommended for 8+ (all children must be accompanied by an adult for the entire program). First time visitors will receive a nature journaling kit, but feel free to bring your own supplies as well.

There are many ways to enjoy and explore nature, but there is something really special about creating your own nature journal!
Through this club, we will spend dedicated time exploring, observing, and recording the natural world. We will highlight the basics of keeping a nature journal, different methods of organizing one, features and elements of a nature journal, and much more. Real specimens will be examined and available to sketch from.
No experience necessary, you just have to be willing to give it a try! We generally meet at the Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum in Lisle, IL.
