About this Event

Step inside the world of specialty coffee with Mudhouse Specialty Coffee Roasters in this immersive educational experience led by a Certified Level 4 Barista—a distinction earned through advanced training, rigorous skill development, and competitive evaluation.

This class begins with the foundations of coffee: what it is, where it’s grown, and how origin shapes flavor. You’ll explore the world’s primary coffee-growing regions, learn what they’re known for, and discover how processing methods—washed, natural, honey, and anaerobic—dramatically influence the final cup. From there, we’ll examine how roast level interacts with origin to highlight or transform flavor profiles.

The experience concludes with a guided cupping session, the industry standard for evaluating coffee quality. You’ll learn how coffee is professionally assessed using the SCA framework, how cupping impacts the global coffee market, and why it matters to both roasters and farmers. Guests will participate in a structured tasting designed to use their sensory skills and deepen appreciation for exceptional coffee.

This is a hands-on, thoughtfully curated experience for anyone curious about what sets elite specialty coffee apart—rooted in education, craft, and Mudhouse’s commitment to excellence.
