A varied full-day hike through the Eden Valley, combining rivers, lakes, ancient woodland, quiet countryside and the historic setting of Penshurst Place.
The route
The hike starts and finishes in Tonbridge. From the station we head towards the River Medway and through the attractive landscapes around Haysden Country Park.
The route continues through quiet countryside and ancient woodland towards Penshurst Place, one of Kent’s most impressive medieval manor houses and historically associated with Henry VIII.
After exploring the Eden Valley countryside, we continue through rolling rural scenery before returning to Tonbridge.
