Ecstatic Dance San Diego returns to Encinitas, April 3rd with opening warm up class Exploring Currents Within led by Sarina Dakini followed by Ecstatic Dance journey curated by the dynamic duo AguaMayyimEcstatic Dance is a community movement, a sacred space for you to explore and tap into your true expression.
Come be held by the dance floor, the music and the community, connect non-verbally with yourself and others and tap into the magic of this liberating movement space.

Exploring Currents Within

Enjoy a Taoist Tantric-informed intuitive movement class where we will playfully explore how energy cultivation and circulation can inspire our full range of self-expression and vitality both on and off the dance floor.
Invigorating, exploratory, and empowering, Sarina Dakini is the founder of Honey Temple, a modern mystery school for Transformational Tantra in sunny San Diego. From her early years learning the discipline of “Shiva Energy” as a nationally-ranked Karate-Do martial artist to then discovering the pulse of “Shakti Energy’s” flowing passion through ballroom dance, Sarina’s path has always been one of embodied awakening. She guides dance and Somatic meditation techniques to reclaim vitality, deepen connection, and live from bliss as a daily practice. Perhaps her fiery yet nurturing approach may awaken a similar truth smoldering within you, too.

AguaMayyim is the musical fusion of Rose Dayal and Franky Helix, arising from the vibrant shores of Santa Cruz, CA. United by the healing power of sound, they seamlessly blend their talents as DJs, producers, and musicians. For the past 4 years, they have produced conscious dance events in Santa Cruz, CA. They have played throughout the Bay Area and beyond, sharing the stage with Mose, Yemanjo, KR3TURE, Equanimous, Moontricks, Phutureprimitive, Scott Nice and more... With a diverse sonic palette, they explore deep melodic bass, healing medicine music, tribal rhythms, tropical vibes, organic sounds, international influences, and hip-hop. Join them on a rhythmic journey that weaves an inspiring tapestry for movement.

Ecstatic Dance Guidelines
1. Move however you wish
2. No talking on the dance floor
3. Respect yourself and one another
4. No Shoes, No Booze
5. Please also refrain from photos, videos, strong scents/perfumes, glitter and shoes on the dance floor.
6. Touch is Sacred ~ Many people dance in their own space, and others share their space with another. To engage in a dance with someone, use sensitivity: Are they open to sharing their space with me? Mirror movements, offer a hand, brush by, make eye contact, and see & feel how they respond.
