Ecstatic Dance: Listen to the Heart & The Earth
Ecstatic Dance: Listen to the Heart & The Earth. July 25th noon to 2 pm.
This dance is intended to honor the innate connection to the earth and find balance with our hearts and the heartbeat of earth. Through intuitive, organic movement, flow and trust, we can surrender into deep listening, reverence and love. Our hearts are always speaking to us, just as earth is. This is an invitation to surrender the mind and the external noise of the outside world and go within to soften and be held by your heartbeat and come into resonance with the frequency and love of Mother Earth. Attune to harmony of body, mind and soul. Attune to the wisdom and guidance of the heart and earth. Let yourself immerse into the miracle of being alive. Explore your connection with your energetic, physical and spiritual heart and the earth. When we dance and gather in community, it is never just for ourselves, as the energy and intention cultivated collectively and individually ripples out. This dance is one of healing for the earth as well.
There will be a brief sharing circle, ritual/practice/meditation before the dance to explore the theme and a closing circle after the dance!
Feel free to bring a yoga mat, cushion or something to sit on, and water and a journal or items to contribute to the altar if you'd like.
Payment/energy exchange: $20 (PayPal or Venmo @lexamaxdi or cash at the door).
Email [email protected] if you’re interested in volunteering to check participants in and collect payment the day of the event, in exchange for a free ticket!
*Email [email protected] if you need a sliding scale payment option*
$5 dollars from each ticket will be donated to All Art Works.

River Noel/Alexa Magsoudi’s Bio:
Dance has been a soulful companion throughout my life. I first discovered ecstatic dance in the Red Woods of California in 2019 and became inspired to share this embodied, community driven and holistic practice. It has been a gift to host and co-create events in Lansing, Grand Rapids and Traverse City, Michigan, along with British Columbia, Canada. Ecstatic dance offers organic body movement, feeling waves of e-motions and connecting in a space that is supportive and liberating. Dance feels like home and sharing it is a calling and return to love.
