We're bringing it back!! After joyful times together in 2025, the Ecstatic Dance/Silent Disco returns in May 2026. Join us for an evening of art, movement, and community in a beautiful natural setting. We’re thrilled to return to the serene Zen Meditation Garden for this event. For the uninitiated, the Silent Disco element involves each dancer receiving a pair of wireless headphones, allowing full immersion in the music. You can move at your own rhythm in a shared, yet deeply personal experience. It is communal in the best sense...Ecstatic Dance in the Woods: A Silent Disco Experience with James Patrick

Ecstatic Dance is a timeless form of expression, a way to free your body and let the rhythm guide you. It invites you to be fully present, to explore movement without judgment, and to connect more deeply with your body, mind, and spirit. This practice can bring meditative, even trance-like states, as well as moments of release, joy, and emotional clarity.
Sobriety is strongly encouraged to support a clear and connected experience, but we trust everyone to make choices that align with the spirit of the event.
What to Expect:
The Registration Table will open at 5:00 pm, when the headphones will be distributed.
Opening Community Circle: Kiley Dare will guide us through the opening circle, creating a welcoming and grounded space for everyone to arrive fully. She’ll share a few basic guidelines to support safety, consent, and freedom of expression throughout the dance. To help us drop into our bodies and connect with one another, Kiley will also lead the group through gentle movement patterns and vocalizations—simple, playful practices that awaken our senses and set the tone for authentic, embodied connection.
Ecstatic Dance with James Patrick: Put on your headphones and move to the electrifying sounds of Baltimore's own James Patrick for 90 minutes.
Closing Circle: Reconnect and reflect as we close out the evening together.
About the Music:
We’re honored to once again partner with James Patrick (aka James Nasty), a legend in the Baltimore club scene and a staple in the Ecstatic Dance community. Known for his genre-bending mixes and high-energy sets, James brings a magnetic energy that gets bodies moving. Voted Best DJ In a Club twice by Baltimore City Paper, his sound has reached global ears through Boiler Room sets and support from artists like Bassnectar, A-Trak, Gorgon City, and many more.
Come dance with us under the open sky, surrounded by nature, community, and rhythm.
This is a beautiful space, created by a friend of BPS, Craig Phillips, that we have been gifted to use for our events. LEAVE NO TRACE! We will all agree to take great care of the space and strive to leave it in excellent condition. Please be respectful of the surrounding neighbors.
